Chromotherapy, often known as colour therapy, colorology, or chromotherapy, is a pseudoscience and quackery form of alternative medicine. Chrome Therapists claim to be able to balance “energy” that is missing from a person’s body on physical, emotional, spiritual, or cerebral levels by using light in the form of colour. They believed, for example, that putting a coloured light on someone would cure constipation.
Color therapy is unrelated to photomedicine, such as phototherapy and blood irradiation therapy, which are scientifically acknowledged medical therapies for a variety of illnesses, as well as photobiology, the scientific study of light’s impact on living creatures.
Ayurvedic medicine practitioners believe the body contains seven “chakras,” or “spiritual centres,” which are supposed to be placed along the spine. Each chakra is associated with a single hue of the visible light spectrum, as well as a function and organ or physical system, according to New Age thinking. According to this viewpoint, the chakras can become unbalanced, resulting in bodily and mental illnesses, but that such imbalances can be corrected by applying the proper hue.
